The Koestner Family was recommended to me by a mutual friend on the West Side, and I’m so glad they decided to book with me! First off, while planning our session, I felt an immediate connection with Danielle when she told me that her husband, Kyle, travels for work. I’ve had my share of weeks alone at home without my hubby, but not with 5 kids! Danielle must be a super-mom!! Once we met at the park, I got to meet sweet little Thomas, their 3 month old son. They hadn’t had any pictures done with him since he was born, so I was excited to be able to do that for them! I have to admit, I was a little intimidated at first to work with such a large family, but the kiddos were SO well behaved! They listened to all my instructions and were cheerful the whole time! Even Charlie, the oldest boy, suffered a bee sting not too long into the shoot, but he toughed it out and was back to all smiles in just a few minutes! All in all, this was such a fun shoot to be a part of and I’m so glad this family has these awesome portraits to decorate their home with!

P.S. – This is the second time I’ve had a baby fall asleep on me before the end of the session! Just call me the baby whisperer 😛
